Happiness is comic shopping.

We went to the launch day of the new Forbidden Planet Megastore this morning and came back with a huge haul of trade paperbacks. This brings our collective total up to a scary 513 books. I'm thinking that it was a really good decision to not keep a note of the price of each book, but at the same time I find myself wanting to up the house insurance :P

Anyway, I came away with the first three Nightwing trades (hello, evaine!), some Punisher, TT/Outsiders, and Dave--bless his cotton socks--picked up a huge Green Arrow trade that I'd completely missed spotting. I forsee a happy afternoon ahead of me. All I need now is a bit of sunshine and I'll be as happy as a cat in a sunbeam....

And my Amazon order came in yesterday! Nightwing, Outsiders AND The Archer's Quest!! Sounds like you got a haul and a half, girlfriend! *grin* Which GA did that adorable husband of yours find?

I'm about halfway through The Sum of All Evil and now I want Dick and Roy slash and I want it NOW! *RME* You know... reading these with 'slashy' eyes... it's a whole new comic experience! *grin*

He picked up trade five--Moving Targets. Alas, we're both irked by a horrible continuity error and some dreadful art in the last few issues of the book, but overall the story was good.

The store had 20% off for the launch day so we took full advantage of that :D
