Wow, that was quick! Keep in mind that stories get rejected for many reasons, one of the most common of which is that it simply didn't fit what the editor is trying to do with the anthology.
Well, that's...terse. I guess that's how he gets responses back so quickly. Don't worry; if you keep writing & submitting, you'll come across all varieties of editors, including the helpful (and sometimes even praising) ones.
