Things I have learnt this week... and it's only Tuesday!

You can ask for skimmed-milk at Starbucks. I wish I'd known this when I chirpily ordered an eggnog latte. Four hours later I discovered that it came to an astounding 9 WW points for a grande. Thank god they closed early, otherwise I'd have had another!

Writing to a word limit is hard. Instead of the 1600 words which I should have written for NaNoWriMo, I have 271. Which is really pathetic. Apparently I'm a real control freak.

Butternut squash is very yummy, especially in a stew.

I make the best mashed potatoes.

ETA. Okay, so maybe I'm not done with NaNo just yet. Swapped to original work and things are going much better. No doubt it'll be all change tomorrow, but right now I feel good :D

I had (don't laugh!) my first Starbucks coffee today (Caramel Macchiato, yumm!) and learned that the sizes are large, grande and venti. Why bother with small, medium and large? *eyeroll* *sigh*

But the coffee was very tasty. No eggnog latte, though. *pouts*
