As for the rest of you, if you feel that you don't have enough to read/do already, I'm sure you could submit Tallica/Maiden/whatnot to the community--they already have Def Leppard and the Foos, so RPS isn't out at all--and then have fun writing 100 drabbles-fics. Hell, they might even like novels, if you've really got spare time ;) List of fandoms is here.
I've got my first driving lesson in almost two months today. That's going to be weird. It's a whole four hours, so I'll be walking funny for days. My left leg isn't going to appreciate all this clutch work! I'm nervous. My second test is a week today! And of course, my eyes have chosen this week to completely play up. Joy of joys.
This is my first time using an internet cafe in a loooong time. It's weird. Plus, I hate not being able to tilt the monitor or change the font size, which is freakin' huge, for accessibility, I presume. It's not often I complain about fonts being too big, so you know this is just ridiculous!! Still, £3 for an hour and it's in the train station, which is just really convenient. I've been able to find out the spoilers for the season premiere of Smallville which the geeks (Comic Geek Speak geeks) were talking about on our drive in to Reading. It was driving me crazy that they were dancing around what happened and just wouldn't spoil me. I loooove the Television Without Pity recaps. They have saved me from gurning about this all fucking day long.
I feel better now.
Anyway, I'm going to go and finish up reading this deliciously snarky recap and then terrorise the drivers of Reading with my slick moves.
Later!

Date: 2005-10-12 10:07 pm (UTC)I actually quite like driving a manual; it means that I always know that the car's up to. I think it'll be very weird driving Dave's semi-automatic after I pass. I'll probably get a manual of my own when we eventually get two cars. I can see why folks prefer automatics, though. They do have their advantages!

Date: 2005-10-12 02:21 pm (UTC)The monitor's settings suck. I hate it when the font is too big, and I hate it when it's too small *pets Firefox and the scroll wheel on the mouse*

Date: 2005-10-12 10:03 pm (UTC)I really found myself missing Firefox today. It's so much nicer than IE. Plus, I missed all my extensions, especially the custom dictionary in Spellbound. *hugs Firefox*
