Restless day

I don't know what's going on; today I've been completely unable to settle to anything. I've flitted from watching TV, to reading a book (in fact, I've started reading three books today), then to trying to do some writing, and then I got bored again... so I organised my slashy photos. Now I'm trying to find the writing guide I bought yesterday to do some of the exercises from it. It's been in the house for a smidgeon over twenty-four hours, and already I can't find it. I shall get very cross with the pixies if they don't bring it back pdq.

It's not all bad though; I now have a nicely organised set of pictures (albeit with a huge imbalance towards pictures of Kirk) and a fully-plotted story. I've also stumbled across a rather cool site, The Blue Quill, which is a great resource for fanfic writers. I already have a grip on most of the subjects covered there, but some of the examples have really made me think. 'Tis worth a read, and as all the examples come from the Xena fandom, I'm now really wanting to re-watch some early episodes of Xena.

I should really go and make dinner -- I wonder how far I can get through that before I get bored?

Yeah, at least you have a good reason for it! Still, Dave has come up with a solution - we're going to play pool tomorrow. Stalking around a pool table should solve the restless feeling, or at least put it to good use.

In the meantime, I'm having a tub of ice-cream after dinner.

I love pool. Mark doesn't play. I don't think he wants to learn in a public place. I shall never play pool again.... *sigh

My brain is dead. All mourn my brain, please. I completely forgot about the TBA pool playing bunny :( Alas, it's a different pool hall, so no chance of seeing the Jason-alike.

Pool is good. So is ice cream :).

I haven't played pool for ages, because all pool places around here allowed smoking and I couldn't stand it. Now that Maryland has banned smoking in restaurants, I can go play pool again.

Ah, Xena. Yes I could watch some Xena myself. I loved it to death, but they won't replay any of the episodes here. :(

I might start reading Xena fic. Or rather not? Maybe some Hercules slash instead...

They're re-running random Hercules episodes every now and again - I'm going to put seasons one and two of Herc and Xena on our DVD rental list.

Surprisingly, cooking dinner soothed my mood. There's something restful about cooking meatballs; I guess it's the repetitive action?
