I think I need to become nocturnal. My urges to write seem to crop up around about midnight and I know that if I go to bed and force myself to sleep, that I'll never remember the good stuff in the morning. So, here I am, with 500 words or so, of the final part of the Manipulation Trilogy written.

Can you spot the pattern there? My mind is currently a very odd place. I'm trying really hard to wrap this up in a mature way; I don't want to throw in gratuitous violence and sex for no reason and then end on a happy-clappy note. Actions have consequences and they should be shown, even if they are entirely fictional. I've drifted into the realm of writing stories that are designed to make people think. This seems to be reflected in the reviews I've received; some are very squealy superficial things which don't even get the obvious shit right, but others are much more insightful. Actually, most of that comes from chatting, but yeah. Thinking. Yay.

Huh, 726 words now. Fuck, this is just pouring out....

Anyway, it has to end right. I think I've put a decent amount of build-up and hints as to the nature of the relationship into the previous two; just enough, not a spoon-feeding amount suitable for kids. I'm terrified that I'll fuck it all up. I think this is the problem with a trilogy - you have ending anxiety and pressure too, as you've built up expectations.

Also, as I'm talking about porn and RPS quite a lot, I am contemplating setting up a filter for those kinds of posts. If you're on my friends list and you don't want this sort of thing popping up almost daily, leave me a comment and I'll set up a filter to spare your eyes. I don't want folks bleaching their brains to get rid of squicky stuff!

I can take nothing BUT porn and RPS. LOL!!! No, I like reading about the stuff you bake too. (A cake with balls *shakes head, laughing*) In any event, I understand your anxiety. It's scary trying to wrap up that cool fic without making it all slapped together (pun on slapping intended ;-) I know you'll do a bang up job. Eh, it'll be fine. As for the filter, don't worry about it - RPS folk can handle it and everyone else...eh, who gives a fuck? And too little sleep in the right proportions is good for fic. I expect to get quite a bit done when I'm on nights next week.

I guess it's no suprise that none of us want to see a filter. *grin* I'll perfectly understand it, though, if you've got *sniffle* other friends outside of us *sniffle* who don't love teh hott porn the way we do *sniffle* *grin*

As for late-night writing...argh! Just...argh! And why is it Mark can say in the darkness, "If I'm not asleep in 20 minutes, I'm going to get up and get some more of Project Whatever done," and I say, "Okay, have fun," but if you flip who's saying what, "Okay, have fun," is not the response I get? *sigh*

Heh, I think I'm giving up on the filter idea. People can always unfriend me if they don't want Hot Sex showing up in their friends list.

I've discovered that good ideas also turn up when you've got both hands full of shopping and can't stop and write. I walked home this afternoon muttering dialogue under my breath!

Re the late-night writing: I have the same problem. In my case it's compounded by me just getting up straight away and not being seen again for hours. Ooops!

BTW - I uploaded an additional icon. Do I have to wait a couple of hours for the drop-down box to appear, so that I can start choosing which icon to use?

Hmmm. Yes, maybe upgrading is what you need to do. I didn't play around with my unpaid account very long (ten minutes, no posts?) to see what it did and didn't let me do. (All I knew was I wanted a specific style, and I had to pay to get it. *sigh*)
