The Beta Reader's Inbox
Jul. 31st, 2005 04:57 pmI discovered the now defunct Beta Reader's Inbox over at fictionpress.com today. It's interesting--to me, at least--to see how another beta reader/editor handles stories. I've nodded my head along with her suggestions far more than I've shaken it.

Re: beta reading
Date: 2005-07-31 07:31 pm (UTC)This was back in the day when my friend and I rather smugly thought we knew what we were doing. The bad examples we had were really bad. The story was mine that I'd co-written in 1998 with a friend that was vague enough that it felt like it could be used across fandoms.
But when we had it, we had some one applying who said that author sucked and should not write again and then wondered why we failed them. :/
