Housework whinge

Almost done....
Our hoover is just at the right height for me to have to stoop when using it. So, my lower-back is locked up tighter than Fort Knox. Plus, it has all the sucking power of an octogenarian. Dysons are supposed to never lose their suction! One day someone will invent nanites which will keep the house clean....
On the plus side, I've discovered a vast selection of pens and pencils which appear to have attempted a valiant bid for freedom. By rolling into dark corners. They've been safely corralled in a beer-cozy. But even better are my sunglasses! I need to remember that tidying away glasses into bags of paperwork is unwise.
I also need to get better at housework. Still, you should all come round and see my surfaces sparkle.
Oh, a fic rec: Mostly Harmless by Bliss.
Now the writing isn't stellar (nor indeed, dreadful), but this little ficlet still remains as one of my favourite J/J stories (and the best story on Metslash). The premise is excellent and I really wish
evilbliss hadn't disappeared from the fandom, not to mention ze entire Internet. *sniffles* Oh,
rockfic! This is the story that you really liked, but were afraid to re-read in case it didn't live up to your fond memories. So, don't click :P

Date: 2005-07-22 05:30 am (UTC)I don't think it's stalkerish to e-mail-- she put it up in public, after all. I'm tempted to e-mail her, myself, but I fear I might write something like OMG your stories are so awesome and I haven't seen you in a long time and I was just wondering what happened to your webpage because I really liked your stories, especially the Guns N' Roses ones and by the way, you could come post them over at rockfic.com!!!!!!!1

Date: 2005-07-23 04:54 pm (UTC)I think most of the people from the original Metslash list have moved on to different fandoms, or stopped writing in general. I wonder if the same will happen with us in a few years...?
