allanaJust sent off my entry for the ChiZine short story contest. It must be the tiniest story ever (all of 890 words), but I love it :D
Dave has been prodding his friend into thinking seriously about hiring me to do sub-editing for a hardware/modding news site. I have no idea what rates I would ask for :P
My parents are panicking madly as our phoneline is currently dead--maintenance, apparently--and have left frantic voicemails on my mobile. They're having their landline checked for a fault, despite receiving a no carrier/number not available message. Watch my eyes roll, fall out of their sockets and do a lap round the room. And for some bizzare reason, they want to talk to me about BT chargecards? I may be a fount of obscure bits of knowledge, but I've never had cause to look at the domestic BT product set.
