I'm mildly frothing at the mouth. I am torn between making the most scathing response ever--but that leaves me open to being accused of preying on bad nerves--or ignoring it.

Indeed it is. I really wish it wasn't. About the only thing keeping me from blasting this capital-challenged person off the face of the planet is that madandy likes her. I don't want to run off an Iron Maiden fan who likes slash.

Apparently I'm ignorant as I failed to offer up suitable platitudes and reassuring comments to an idiotic, shallow, stoner on Rockfic. It's rare that I comment on drug-use, but after skimming her LJ, I really feel justified. I wouldn't shed any tears if she walked under an electro-magnet and found all her piercings ripped out.

BTW. I lost huge amounts of this week due to you! After you (or a commenter on your LJ) mentioned the "Just Between" series, I tracked it down and I've been reading avidly since. On the whole, very good. Alas, I don't like the way she writes lesbian sex (is "nodule" supposed to be sexy?) or the fact that in the later stories, Janeway "husked" every third sentence. But the overall story arcs were superbly done.

I can supply various rant-drafts if you want to snicker over them? :) They've ranged from correcting grammar and capitalisation through to demonstrations of my committment to mental health. All of them with much subtle bitchiness.

I'm probably just going to reply with a clear statement that I have no issue with mental health. But I do have an issue with personalities.

I don't know, but surely id bugs me to no end. Today I had to type something for Motty, and she had to stop me because I was capitalizing "I"s in Italian. I'm properly capitalizing since when, 6 months? 8, at most? And it's already a mechanical gesture. It's so fucking difficult to locate your shift key?

Must be. I hate when people don't capitalize. The only place where I'm okay with it, and am also slack about it myself, lol, is in chat. But otherwise it grates on my nerves.

I even started editing comments people leave in my guestbook, because I can't stand having things like "i love metallica and i love ur website." :)

Capitals are nice in chat, but they're not mandatory. I do find myself typing corrections in the next line quite often :)
