Grumpy old woman

allanaWell, grumpy heading-rapidly-towards-middle-aged woman would be more accurate; alas it doesn't have the same ring to it.
So. Up at 5am. Good thing I went to sleep around 1am for a change, and that I had a nice nap in the evening. At least my brain has stopped buzzing with ideas.... I think I'll stay out of bed and shock hubby with a cup of coffee when he gets up. That should be a nice surreal start to the day for him!
Am I evil? Yes I am!
(This probably only amuses me, and people who know me. For those who don't - I only make cups of tea or coffee on special occasions. Like regal in-law visits, which necessitate a full dusting session and days when terrifically bad news has been received. So, cups of coffee are few and far between. Tea is an unknown species within my house. We have to hunt it down with bows and arrows for those awkward people who want it.)
The result of all my brain activity at 5am a rather good chapter of my current WIP. Well, I reckon it's good. It remains to be seen what my beta and then the masses think of it. I'm a total review whore so I do hope they enjoy!
The downside of writing about a neat and tidy character (with slight OCD tendencies) is that my brain is now thinking like him. I found myself looking speculatively at the skirting boards a few minutes ago. They could do with a good dusting....
