You can leave your...socks on?

What is it with gay porn and socks? Is it only me that finds this very odd and distracting? They strip off everything else very neatly and efficiently (and on occasion - sexily) but leave their socks on. Why?

Instead of my eyes being drawn to the huge cut cocks and ripped abs, not to mention the tight rounded asses... oops, I digressed. Anyway, my eyes and mind should be drawn to all that, but instead my eyes remain firmly rivetted to the dazzling white socks.

And then... my mind segues to a completely inappropriate thought. What washing powder to they use? Or do they have a sock budget that affords them brand-new clean socks for each scene?

Am I perhaps missing some sort of message conveyed by the socks? This inquiring mind really wants to know!

Which reminds me...a week or so ago when I was in my porn mood, I found myself watching a video downloaded off the 'net and thinking, "They must use new socks for every shoot 'cause they're always so clean, and if they don't use new socks for every shoot, I wish they'd post how they wash their socks 'cause I'd like to keep mine looking that clean." (Which naturally led to, "I wonder if the guy in the video is available for hire--I'd rather he came here and washed my socks than have to do it myself.)

It sounds like we were having almost the same thoughts at almost the same time. I really do think that we're all developing Hive Mind. I do prefer bare feet to socks though.

Talking of workboots - Dave downloaded some gay Hungarian Vampire porn for me. I'm not entirely sure why, but anyway! Picture two good-looking blokes wearing naught but workboots (we weren't sure if they had socks on underneath, can't imagine they'd stay very white in the boots) and 80's tassled black leather jackets, trooping noisily down the stairs to escape the Master Vampire.

Alas, they woke him up with all their clumping around, and ended up on their knees :P Workboots and jackets isn't a great look. Now, if they'd bothered to put their jeans on, I'd have been much more interested. I'm still not clear on whether they were just kept as pets or whether they joined his nefarious scheme.
