In other news, eyes are improving. *hugs eyedrops* Only have a mild hangover from far too much strawberry liqueur last night, and now need to reset all the clocks in the house after the double-whammy power-cut last night.

I'm only up as some prat, who clearly cannot use a phone, managed to spectacularly misdial and woke us up. Hmm, having just looked at the bottle, I really did drink a lot. As madandy points out, it's very hard to remember that you're drinking barely diluted spirits when it's full of fruity goodness. Or something like that. Still. Summer Inna Bottle, and all that.

I think I'll imbibe some water now.

I loved Crowded House! Admittedly I discovered them at the point when they released a greatest hits album, but I still loved them! Am quite sad today.

So now where do i get strawberry liqueur? I have some strawberry sours thing and also something called xuxu which I have been desperately trying to make daiquiris and margaritas with. But have failed dismally so far. I need some recipes for cocktails wiv strawberries in.

(i have the bacardi, tequila and i have cointreau and some limes. I'm working on the ice.)

Alas, this is the strawberry liqueuer I made last summer. I've never seen it in the shops.

Apparently this will make a strawberry daiquiri:

# 1 1/2 oz. Rum
# Splash each: Pureed Strawberries (or fresh) & Sour Mix
# Dash of Grenadine
# Blend with crushed ice
# Serve in a Poco or decorative glass
# Garnish with a bit of Whipped cream, a Lime wedge, & fresh Strawberry or Cherry

Yes! I keep getting called being mistaken for a hospital, school, or takeaway. Today, I think it was a travel agent that the idiot was trying to get ahold of. There are times when I rue having such a simple phone number.

It's very more-ish, but you really must remember that it's incredibly strong as compared to commercial liqueurs.

Imbibe is a great word too ;)
