If I find "growing bulge" one more time in this piece I'm editing or in any more of my fics, then I may shoot myself. Today has been spent editing, sleeping and generally being sickly. I need to remember that three-course meals really fuck with my body. Either a starter or a dessert; never shall I have all three again. Unless it's a French restaurant with nice small portions.
Dave is either still at work, or on his way home. He's about to miss the second part of Supervolcano, which he'll be upset about. I see that the BBC has pulled (for a second time) another cataclysmic drama, as they feel that two catrastrophic natural disaster portrayals in one month is insensitive to the tsnuami survivors. Must say that I hadn't heard of the second one. Ahh, apparently it features a tsnuami vs New York. Yes, that probably wouldn't go down well.
My science experiment (sourdough starter) is going pretty well. I've called it George. Hopefully it'll be mature and active enough for me to attempt a small loaf at the weekend. Ouch, a bunch of scientists just got cooked alive by the first blast of ash/pumice etc from the supervolcano. Time to pay attention....

Date: 2005-03-14 10:12 pm (UTC)Congrats on your sourdough starter. When I was a child I had one that went by the name of Heinrich. :D

Date: 2005-03-15 01:20 am (UTC)I think the natural disaster drama could go either way. It could be upsetting to some who lost loved ones (and those people shouldn't watch it) and cathartic to others who lost loved ones.
Sorry you're not feeling well. :(

Date: 2005-03-15 02:08 am (UTC)As for not feeling well--completely self-inflicted. IBS and three-course meals do NOT mix. Plus, I've been forgetting to drink my friendly bacteria recently. I'm sure that hasn't helped. In good news, my eyes are less sore this week!

Date: 2005-03-16 02:31 am (UTC)George is very lethargic. He's supposed to be doubling in size overnight, but is currently just bubbling a little. I don't understand--he doubled happily at the beginning!
