Cloudy start to the day, brightening up later on

My cloudy start was Lucas waking me up at just before 5am. Ouch. My eyes feel like they need propping open. Still, he's sick so I can't complain too much. The day did brighten up when I crawled out of bed for a second time....

I have lost 50lbs!!

I rejoined Weight Watchers last week, having been on it for about three months before I got pregnant, and when I hopped on the scales this morning I'd lost six pounds which brings me to a total loss of 50 pounds exactly :D My BMI has dropped by 9 points since I started which is awesome.

In other news, I drove us to Holey Skin this morning to get a check-up. This is a really big thing for me as it involved driving on the M32. I've never done a motorway alone before, and was really scared about the prospect of doing that and then two huge and complicated roundabouts at the other end. It all went really well, though. I don't think I'm quite ready to zoom off to Reading or London yet, but I'm more optimistic that I will one day.

Anyway.... my arm is healing up nicely and I'm booked in for next Monday to have it completed. Now I just have to find a babysitter ;)

All in all, it's been a bloody fantastic day so far!

I feel better about the roundabouts if they're giving you gyp. You live there, so you are used to them whether or not you drive, but they give me nervous breakdowns. Particularly the complicated ones that look like tiny labryrinths that you have to negotiate at 50 mph. They set off all sorts of dyslexic issues and it the main reason why I refuse to drive over there.

Well, you have to remember that I'm an anxious new driver :P I only got my knickers in a knot over these two because they're (a) huge and (b) very busy which leaves less margin for error. Now that I've done them once I'll be absolutely fine next time round :)

Well, I lost 1.5 stone with WW before I got pregnant, dropped about two stone by the time I stopped breastfeeding, and now I'm back to WW online again.

These days I have much less time available to snack (or do anything, frankly) which helps loads. Also, lugging Lucas upstairs numerous times throughout the day does wonders for the legs....

BTW, did you see the pics of the tattoo outline?

I did and absolutely loved it!

Strangely, that night I had a dream I was going to get an orange and pink tattoo and I ordered the design online. I woke up the next morning with a HUGE ugly tattoo on my arm and I cried my eyes out because it wasn't anything like yours and wasn't what I wanted. I actually woke up depressed and checking my arm.

How the tattoo managed to get there after I'd only ordered the design online I have no idea! :)

I had a dream about a roundabout last night. Only it was a really, really small one that brought me right back to where I started--me and my tricycle. It was an odd dream.

Yay Ang for doing well on your drive! You'll be driving all over the place in no time. I have a mental image in my head of you and Lucas in a red Ferrari, speeding along the motorways and singing "Wherever I May Roam" at the top of your lungs :)

I can't wait to see your tatt when it's completed too. It's gorgeous!
