Bah. Couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd read a book. Turned on the light, and what do I see? A spider on the pillow, just beyond where my head was.

Now all I can think of is that I could have swallowed it if I'd been sleeping :(

Sleeping on the sofa looks v.attractive all of a sudden as it was too fast for the hail of books and slippers I threw at it. I have no idea where the beastly thing is now.

Woe.

I ended up storming the bedroom with a pair of Dave's boots in hand. Alas, I couldn't find it, even after jumping up and down and watching for movement. So, I went back to bed and woke up every so often to see if anything was wriggling in my throat.

Thanks, Keli. I talked myself into going back to bed after an hour of pacing around--well, lurching around like a frenzied zombie, really--and couldn't find the damn thing.

Dave will be back tonight, so hopefully he'll be able to find it or at least make me feel more secure!

Ewwww! I don't mind spiders outside, but in the house they give me the creeps. And on my pillow?? I would freak out, lol.
