I wonder how much a new power cable/cord will cost for the laptop? I can't decide whether the power problems I'm having--A/C cutting out--are due to problems with the male or female end of the connection. Very irritating. I'm spending more time watching the systray power icon than I am actually working.

Beta-ing some good fic from [livejournal.com profile] feelforfaith is going a long way to pulling me out of my glum mood. A few slabs of bread and honey also helped ;) I was sorely tempted to just binge out last night, but I was good! We did wind up having pizza, but we carefully examined the calorie guide on Dominos website and managed to have a really nice meal and not go overboard.

Tonight I'm making baked penne with beef (10.5 points, but it should be worth it), so I should really mosey into the kitchen and set the sauce simmering....

*huggles Ang*

The mere mention of Dominos had me drooling. I am one of those supremely lazy people who orders their Dominos pizza etc from the website for delivery, instead of going the extra few feet for the phone once the online menu has been consulted :D

My sister is coming to visit at the weekend. I believe I know what we shall be having for tea on saturday night ;)

Oh, we always order online, too. It saves dealing with people! I love their Double Decadence, but I think I prefer my own pizza as compared to their regular ones.

Mmm... pizza. Still, baked pasta runs a close second!

Bakes penne with beef sounds delicious. I wish I had the urge to cook. Can you send along the recipe? Thanks!

As always, your entry made me hungry. (Also as always, I'm reading it at lunchtime... so what do I expect? LOL.) Enjoy your baked penne with beef!

Pizza doesn't have to be full of fat, unhealthy meal, especially when I make it at home (not the dough though, lol) and I can load it with veggies.

Interestingly, Jake's school sends flyers home about making healthy lunches for kids, and stresses how lunches they serve at the cafeteria are healthy, etc. but they have pizza every Friday. I'm not saying they shouldn't, but I suspect that the kind of pizza they serve (pepperoni or cheese) is the least nutritional. To their credit, though, they always serve veggies and fruit with it.

I quite agree. I usually make it all from scratch--supermarket pizza dough is appalling here--but try to keep the fat down as far as possible. I should really start doing half-veggie and half-beef pizzas for the ultimate in health!
