A rant and random stuff.
Sep. 17th, 2005 11:43 pmOh, for heaven's sake. Much as I adore getting fanmail from my food blog, I do despair of people sometimes.
Dennis from Canada, is incapable of clicking on the "Continue reading" link under entries. A small child could comprehend that there is perhaps more information to be obtained by clicking! It even changes colour when hovered over.
And after I very kindly emailed him the entire entry last night, he has the balls to sit and complain because I have written "courgettes" instead of "zucchini". FFS. I'm British. While I make a reasonable attempt to put all recipes in UK and US terms, sometimes I choose not to for various reasons. Mainly... time.
Oh, and his reading comprehension has sunk to an all-time low. He wants the recipe for Goats Cheese Raita. Which is written in the body of the post as I don't really consider throwing some cheese, herbs and milk in a blender to be a fucking recipe.
I could throttle him, I really could. There is more to the world than North America!!!
Incidentally, the wedding was fine. Mildly confusing to find the bride in burgundy and the bridesmaid in ivory. Also, there were two other weddings going on in the hotel so we wandered between them feeling somewhat confused. A tear welled up when the bride and groom swirled round in a Titanic-esque moment on the dance floor to the strains of Wake Me Up Before September Ends.
The Bone Twin's Doll is still fabulous. I'm down to the last ten pages or so.
The moon is very bright tonight. It's shining onto the front of the house, and feathery clouds are drifting lazily past it. Very pretty, indeed.
Acquired a book bunny. Now I have a choice for NaNoWriMo.

Date: 2005-09-18 12:49 am (UTC)Glad that the wedding was so nice. The last one I went to was my friend Sarah's in the middle of summer. I wore black and I thought I was gonna DIE...but it was a lovely wedding. Too bad the marriage is a disaster....
