allanaI'm watching Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and I'm glad that I'd finished eating before watching it. It's making my kitchen look sparkling and pristine. God, that was absolutely disgusting--furry and rancid food in the fridge... they even fed Gordon a rotten scallop! Poor sod. I was delighted to see them steam cleaning the kitchen.
On a happier food note, I made my favourite vegetable stew tonight. I always wind up making this when I'm by myself. Tonight, as I couldn't find any goats cheese that I liked, I topped it off with tzatki. Fusion food at its best :D
I've also been working on a Lars-centric fic. The little dictator has wormed his way into my heart over the last year, and really does lend himself well to comedy. So... I'm attempting it for the first time.
OMG. How can a chef talk about barbecuing braising steak? It's braising steak, FFS! You braise it. Sweet zombie Jesus.
Ah yes. Comedy. I think it's funny, but I'll wait and see how it goes over with the readers. So far it's about half-way through and going quite well! Back to the grindstone....
