More driving
Jul. 23rd, 2006 09:51 pmToday I drove on my own for the first time!
I'd detail it out, but it would be boring as only Dave knows the roads that I'm talking about. I am very proud of myself, though. I did some fairly tricky roads and even managed to get up to 70mph on the dual carriageway! It wasn't scary, either!
Tomorrow, providing that my parcels get delivered in the morning, I'm going to take the bus to town and then drive Dave home from work. The massive roadworks in the city centre should be a good challenge, as will be the short section of motorway. My next big challenge will be driving back alone from a party we're going to on Saturday. Dave wants to stay much later than I do--and probably stay the night--so I shall be a homing pigeon for the night. (I will, however, chicken out of putting the car on our driveway. If you could see it, you probably would, too :P)
