Fic rec: "And In This Moment" by Te.

Batman/Flash.

I can't even imagine a more unlikely pairing. Even Batman/Bane would make more sense than this. However, thete1 makes it work. Oh boy, does she make it work.

"And In This Moment" is definitely the hottest thing I've read this week. Maybe even this month. And it's not over the top at all.... Batman is a little chattier than usual, but hell, who wouldn't be forced into making conversation with Wally chattering nineteen to the dozen? Wally is just perfect; thoughts diving off on a tangent, like a magpie distracted by an even shinier brooch, but still making sense. In the end :P And yeah. It works. I really wish I'd had a block of ice....

The only downsides are (a) the formatting--I don't know what's up with Te's choice of formatting, and (b) the fact that it was long but ultimately too short. No sequel to this one, just a very yummy standalone.

Maybe we'll get a sequel if we all stand and throw gravel at Te's window?
