The nursery furniture arrived this morning in a plethora of boxes. Poor Dave will be occupied for hours (days?) putting it all together. It's going to be weird waking up and looking at a cotbed each morning. Also, the pushchair and carseat are supposed to arrive on Monday according to Parcelforce's estimate.

So... if I buy sheets this weekend, we'll be ready for any early arrival on Speck's part. That's very scary.

Also if anyone has a spare hand as I always find I need at least 3 to assemble this stuff.

If it wasn't so hot, I'd bake some cakes and then invite folk around for a flat-pack assembling party.

Holy crap, Ang! You guys are going to be busy as hell in the next few days. But hey, you're PREPARED. This is a good thing as babies tend to have their own ideas about when and where they should show up.

[as an aside, I started using this lovely baby lotion and OH...it's wonderful. Now to find a cute little Irish or British guitar player to put it on me, mwhahahaha!]

We're semi-prepared. We have all the big stuff--or will once the pushchair is delivered--but we still have lots of little things to buy. I'll be making a list and attempting to pick up lots more at the weekend.

When is Speck due again?

17th October. So, 12 weekends away, which is rather terrifying.

Dave is already mourning the loss of his weekends.
